CELLULAR/HONEYCOMB SHADES
Cellular shades are best known for their energy-saving properties but also offer a wide array of options. Cellular shades get their name and insulating power from their honeycomb shape that traps air between the window and the room, buffering against heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. Double cell shades offer maximum insulation. Light filtering or blackout fabrics provide privacy and light control choices in a wide array of colors, textures and even patterns.
DAY-NIGHT CELLULAR SHADES
The day-night cellular shades are an exceptional combination of energy efficient utility and elegance. Typically, sheer or sun filtering fabrics that allow natural light in while reducing glare and blocking harmful UV rays are combined with room darkening or blackout fabric. You can lower or raise either one or both shades simultaneously. This allows you the advantage of two fabrics of different opacity and colors in one shade system, offering supreme privacy and the ability to regulate natural light. You can lower the room darkening/ blackout shade so that the top half of the shade panel allows natural light in while the bottom half blocks the view of the inside from the outside, enhancing privacy during the day. At night, the room darkening or blackout panel can be lowered completely to omit little or any view from the outside. These cellular shades stack compactly to virtually disappear when raised to allow you a full view of the outside.
TOP-DOWN BOTTOM-UP SHADES
A popular option for shades, top-down bottom-up shades is design to allow for great versatility. Window shade can be lowered from the top or raised from the bottom, allowing privacy from the bottom, while still giving access to light flow.
